Centre for Educational Data Analysis and Research

CEDAR

The Center for Educational Data Analysis and Research (CEDAR) is a pioneering initiative of the Malabar Education Movement (MEM), established to drive evidence-based change in the education sector. CEDAR serves as a dedicated hub for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting educational data with the aim of uncovering systemic gaps, informing policy decisions, and guiding targeted interventions. With a strong focus on equity and regional balance, particularly in the underserved Malabar region, CEDAR empowers stakeholders—from educators and researchers to policymakers and community leaders—with actionable insights to create more inclusive and effective educational environments.

Although the primary focus of CEDAR is on addressing educational disparities in Kerala, we have come to realize that inequity in education is a global issue—unbound by geography or mode of learning. The urgent need of our time is to confront this challenge with seriousness and collective intent. The Centre for Educational Data Analysis & Research (CEDAR) invites researchers, educators, and students from around the world to join us in exploring and addressing the often-overlooked inequities in educational systems everywhere.

We are proud to have a dynamic and diverse team of researchers from various disciplines, united by a shared commitment to rigorous inquiry and collaborative thinking. At the heart of our work is the pursuit of meaningful insights with the power to shape educational equity and quality.

If you're a researcher passionate about transforming education and its allied fields, we’d love to hear from you. Join us in making a difference.
